Episode 60: Christa Vickers-Smith's Healing Journey

Christa Vickers-Smith's Healing Journey

🙌🏽 Yay!!! You made it through 2022! Welcome to 2023 friends!🥂

It was nice to take time off during the holidays to rest and spend time with family. This week we are officially back into the swing of things💪🏼 with coaching clients, podcast, homeschooling, activities, PhD classes and the usual shebang!

As we start off the New Year, I decided to share my special guest, Christa Vickers-Smith’s inspiring journey with you all to be a beacon of hope as her story encouraged me. We all need hope, right? I know there are so many of us going through devastating situations. So, no matter where you are in life or what you are going through, my prayer is that God will carry you through this season. I hope this episode blesses you and encourages you to trust in God’s everlasting faithfulness – no matter the circumstance.

Christa Vickers-Smith joins me on this first episode of the year on The WHoly Mom Chat Podcast with her blissful journey of #healing after seasons of great suffering. A native Richmonder, Christa has experienced firsthand the power of prayer, of the body of Christ, bearing each other’s burdens and seeing every joint supply. Her passion has become pursuing wholeness in spirit, soul, and body, and walking alongside others in their journeys.

Christa was born and raised in a God-fearing #Christian home, knowing Jesus and His Word, but she experienced Him deeply when she was desperately longing for a #physicalhealing. It started from a migraine as a teenager and escalated to kidney stones, fibromyalgia, insomnia, low immunity, and weak adrenal system (and more health crisis) over the course of seven years. She went through multiple back surgeries, endometriosis surgery and the list goes on.

She was introduced to various ministries which were tools in her tool belt for the healing journey. She was unaware how malnourished her spirit was. There were times when she felt disconnected to herself and spiritual well-being. According to Christa, she used the words of Jesus as kind of anecdotal and not as the way the truth and the life. She encourages the listeners to trust God even when disappointed because His Word is living, active and sharper than a two-edged sword. It can cut through with surgical precision. God wants us to heal, and He wants to nourish our spirit. We need to pursue wholeness in soul, spirit, and body. Christa motivates us not to rush through seasons or phases of life as all the hardships and sufferings are worth it.

“God made our bodies so incredibly, intricately that we can evaluate danger and go.”
