Episode 5: Father’s Day – A Tribute to My Dad
As my sisters and I did a special tribute to our mother for Mother’s Day, we also wanted to honor our father in a similar way for Father’s Day.
We will be talking about lessons we have learned from our Dad, habits we have picked up from him, some of our fondest memories, and some encouragement for our listeners. We all live in different countries. Ruby, my oldest sister, lives in Dubai with my parents. Rufi, my third sister, lives in Canada. We have not met in person for about 2 years now. I am the youngest of 4 girls.
You will hear lots of laughter and even some tears throughout this episode. We also shared about my background and how our family was growing up. I am ethnically from Pakistan. I was brought up in Dubai. I lived in Toronto, Canada for many years before moving to Richmond, VA.
So, get ready to hear our tribute to our Dad!
Abu, Urdu word for father, we love you. We appreciate all your support and always being there for us, no matter what. We will forever be grateful for who we are because you poured into us selflessly, fiercely, courageously and even during the hard seasons of life. You blessed us with an abundant life with your prayers, hard work, and your love! We respect you! We honor you today and every day!
To everyone who has lost their father, or is feeling broken and alone, you are not forgotten. We see you and are sending our love and prayers for you.
Don’t ever underestimate the power of your influence. You Matter!
Happy Father’s Day to all the Fathers!
